Yeah Baby!

Guess who just purchased their ticket to Puerto Rico?? I'm traveling in style with the entire Knowlton clan, American Airlines flight 238! As Ashley said, "We'll be taking Puerto Rico by storm." Yes, indeed we will.

P.S. The picture has nothing to do with my flight purchase. The dog is just so freaking cute.

Drinks at Barrachina.

Okay, so all songs aside, if you like Piña Coladas, you WILL love this.  Two places claim to have created the original  Piña Colada (of course there will always be a debate), but luckily for us they were both in Puerto Rico and we are willing to conduct taste tests (here's someone who did)!  One, Barrachina, happens to be located on the cobblestone streets of San Juan.
Here is Barrachina's recipe:

THE PIÑA COLADA RECIPE
48 OZ PINEAPPLE JUICE - CANS
15 OZ OF COCONUT CREAM (COCO LOPEZ OR GOYA)
10 OZ OF WATER (IF YOU USE ICE AND BLENDER DO NOT ADD WATER)

OUR LITTLE SECRET, DO NOT MIX BLEND WITH ICE, INSTEAD FREEZE THE MIX STIRRING OCCASIONALLY UNTIL WELL FROZEN OR USE AN OLD STYLE ICE CREAM MAKER TO FREEZE THE MIX, THEN YOU WILL GET THE TASTE OF A GOOD PIÑA COLADA
PUT RUM TO TASTE IN INDIVIDUAL GLASSES THEN ADD FROZEN MIX TO SERVE.
DECORATE WITH CHERRY AND PINEAPPLE CHUNKS!
ENJOY IT
Guess where my bachlorette party is starting???

You have now entered the Twilight Zone.

I know it is becoming cliché to start a "wedding blog," yet here I am, doing just that.  I am getting married in about a year and planning what is turning out to be a large destination wedding in Puerto Rico.  I am excited to share my ideas and progress for feedback and chronicle my eventual, gradual, inevitable turning to the dark side of Bridezilla territory.

Here goes nothing!
